My sport mad 11 year old son has found his happy place. Pool, darts, PlayStations, table football, massive TV screens, and great food. I'm not complaining
Riverside Sports Bar is a fantastic spot! They have an impressive selection of beers and draughts, with something to suit everyone’s taste. The staff are always super friendly and welcoming, making the atmosphere really enjoyable. I love that they offer free pool, which is a nice bonus for a relaxed night out. The food is also really good – great quality and reasonably priced. Definitely a place worth visiting whether you’re after a drink, a game of pool, or a bite to eat!
Great bar, the pickled eggs and stout were Devine together and cleansed the pallet to satisfaction beyond words. Stacey and Tracey the twin barmaids were an absolute joy to behold and Jeff the local comedic genius of southern Welsh soul is the ‘five star atmosphere’ Really looking forward to partaking in the all things South Wales/Gwent pub quiz on Tuesdays and Sushi Night on Sundays.
Went in after work for a pint and bite to eat. Choose Hot Loaded Fries, plenty of chicken included and make no mistake it's if HOT spice peppers. Cost £14 for the fries.
Riverside Newport sports bar @riverside I ordered the triple decker burger. The burger had 3 smashed patties with American cheese, bacon, onions, BBQ sauce and mustard. The burgers were absolutely amazing and full of flavour. The beef was really tasty, really cheesy and so delicious. I had the Cajun dirty fries which came fully loaded with southern fried chicken, cheese sauce, crispy onions, crispy bacon and BBQ sauce. The chips was crispy, the bacon was crispy, the chicken was crispy and all cooked to perfection. I can see why these are their best sellers. I got to try the smashed cheese burger tacos with cheese red onion, spring onion, chillis , gherkins and fully loaded with sauce. These was my absolute favourite and could have had a plate full of them. Full credit to the chef Craig for smashing the cooking. The tacos gotta go on the menu full time . The misses had the black and blue burger. Double beef patties, bacon , caramelised onions, Stilton and ranch sauce. She usually gets fed up of burgers when eating but she finished all her burger and absolutely loved it. She did say the Stilton sauce was strong but she loved it. The sports bar has a really good feel about the place. It got plenty of for all sport, darts boards and of course a pool table. I can definitely see me popping back down when the football is on with the boys. The beer garden is amazing over looking the river and is a sun trap. The staff was very polite and helpful and thanks to Natalie for making us feel welcome and a special shoutout to the chef for making mouth watering food. It was a pleasure. Great burgers, went in for the sport and there are loads of screens dotted around. Added bonus of free pool.
